Warm Weather is Here !!!!!
Celebrate summer by enjoying all that Penticton has to offer!
Penticton is a Beach Lovers Paradise! It is snuggled between two lakes; Okanagan Lake to the north and Skaha Lake to the south. Spend endless days relaxing on the beach or try some of the best parasailing and water-skiing that
BC has to offer. One can also kayak, canoe, or just splash and swim in the water. Aside from the city beaches, there are between 80 and 100 lakes within a two-hour drive from Penticton. Some have facilities like U-catch fishing for children or waterslides, but most are tranquil and natural.
Floating the River Channel is an activity not to be missed! Enjoy a leisurely trip down the channel that joins Okanagan Lake to Skaha Lake.
The world famous Skaha Bluffs offer superb rock climbing opportunities and the Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) trail is one of the most popular hiking and cycling routes.
Beach Blanket Film Festival
Beach Blanket Film Festival runs from July 18-20, 2008. It begins at dusk or 10 pm. Okanagan Lake hosts Canada's only outdoor floating screen film festival with top Canadian filmmakers screening their creations.
