Did you know that the name of our Junior "A" Hockey Club, the Penticton Vees, is derived from three local varieties of peaches- Vedette, Vallant and Veteran? On September 27, 2008, the Vees will play their first home game this season in the brand new, eagerly-anticipated South Okanagan Event Centre. This will be the first event in the stunning, multi-million dollar facility, which will host such top performers as Fiest and Chigaco in October.

Come to the Okanagan to enjoy the autumn harvest of apples. Mother Nature has been cooperating giving us just the right amount of sun during the day to sweeten those apples and grapes. The orchards are full of ripe Ambrosias, Royal Galas, Maintoshes and other popular varieties that can be found at the the fruit stands and markets throughout the Okanagan.
