	DECEMBER 2009 First of all.......All of us at The Verana Okanagan want to wish all of you the very best for the Festive Season and Health, Happiness and Prosperity for the New Year. We will be closed for the Holidays from Saturday December 19, 2009 to Monday, January 4, 2010. YEAR IN REVIEW To put it mildly, 2009 has been a very interesting and busy year. We completed all construction, parking areas and landscaping for Phase 2. We are all very proud of our accomplishments. Everything turned out better than we dreamed. We have begun work on the Amenity Building and should be going "full steam" by January 2010 with a completion date of June 2010. This Amenity Building has been advanced ahead of schedule and will be a great asset. We cannot wait to see the final result. SALES UPDATE Sales, in spite of the economy, have been good. The first floor is Sold Out. The second floor has only 2 units left - #207 and #208. The third floor still has a good selection of all models left and... The fourth floor has only one corner unit left - #402. PRICES WILL RISE IN 2010 Our Special Sales Event will end December 31, 2009. We cannot and will not hold these prices any longer. We will be issuing a new price list in 2010; however we will still honour our Special Sales Event prices until then. We lowered all 1 bedroom and 1 bedroom plus den units by $50,000 and all 2 bedroom and 2 bedroom plus den units by $70,000. You still have time to take advantage of these savings but do not wait or you will be disappointed. SHOP AND COMPARE The Verana Okanagan is simply "The Best Buy for your Buck". H.S.T. LOOMS As of July 1, 2010, HST will be coming into effect. Any unit sold after that date will be subject to HST (12% tax) and not just GST (5% tax) as it is now. In other words.....a $300,000 purchase will be subject to an HST of $36,000 instead of a GST of $15,000.
